The Practice

Understanding is only the beginning.

Queer Sovereignty Method is designed to be experienced.

It creates opportunities to explore where you want greater freedom in your life—and to practice building the capacity to live and express more of what is already true for you.

We each begin in a different place. There may be something that still feels constrained—shame, inhibition, self-consciousness, or an old pattern you’re ready to move beyond. And wherever you begin, there is a larger question available:

How fully could I actually live?

For those of us fortunate enough to have the safety and freedom to ask that question, this is a rare opportunity. Most queer men throughout history—and many queer men in the world today—have not had the freedom to openly explore the fullness of their bodies, their pleasure, their relationships, their expression, or their connection to something beyond themselves.

We have inherited possibilities that generations before us could scarcely have imagined.

And yet those possibilities aren’t always obvious. Most of the models we’re given for a successful life were not imagined with queer lives in mind. Freedom gives us the opportunity not simply to fit ourselves into those models, but to become curious about what a fully expressed queer life might look like for each of us.

QSM creates space for that exploration—not by prescribing the answer, but by helping you discover more of what might be possible for yours.

The starting point is different for each of us. The invitation is to expand from there.

Experiences

Ways to Experience QSM

One-on-one work is available now. The first online and San Francisco experiences arrive this fall.

Available Now

QSM, One-on-One

I work one-on-one with a small number of men, creating a QSM experience that develops around what you want to explore rather than following a predetermined curriculum.

Men often come to me through their relationship with pleasure, sexuality, and desire—whether something feels constrained or complicated, or pleasure itself has become a place for exploration and growth.

Our conversations become the starting point for what happens between them. After each call, I develop material for you to explore—perhaps a reading or reflection, guided meditation, journaling, or an embodied experience practiced on your own or in a structured session with me. We come back together, notice what emerged, and let that inform where we go next.

We can meet entirely by video or combine video calls with in-person experiences when location allows.

Fall 2026

Online QSM Experience

This fall, I’ll begin offering the first online Queer Sovereignty Method experience: a small-group exploration built around live video calls, with engaging, playful invitations, experiences, and activities to explore on your own between calls.

We’ll use the time together—and the space between our calls—to experiment with QSM in your own life and discover what becomes possible through practice.

Fall 2026

San Francisco QSM Experience

I’m also developing the first one-day Queer Sovereignty Method experience in San Francisco this fall.

Being together in person creates different possibilities for embodied practice, experimentation, connection, pleasure, and expression—and for discovering what becomes available when we explore in the company of other men.

Costa Rica

Conscious Kink at Qasa

Alex with two collaborators seated together on a wooden deck at Qasa Retreat Center in Costa Rica

For men interested in a deeper immersive experience, I designed and lead Conscious Kink at Qasa Retreat Center in Costa Rica.

Conscious Kink is a six-day exploration of embodiment, intimacy, vulnerability, eroticism, connection, and conscious kink within a carefully designed retreat container. It creates space to explore not only the what of kink—what interests, excites, or challenges you—but the why behind it: what our desires can reveal about ourselves and what becomes possible when we approach them with curiosity and intention.

I also helped develop the Qasa Foundations, the framework that underpins all of Qasa’s retreat experiences. Conscious Kink is a Qasa program rather than a Queer Sovereignty Method experience. It is a distinct but complementary body of work—and another way to experience material I have developed around embodied pleasure as a pathway toward greater freedom, connection, and self-expression.

My Approach

Where QSM comes from

My approach grew out of a sex-positive, pleasure-positive world of queer sexuality and kink, and from years of exploring what becomes possible when we bring greater intention and presence to the experiences that draw us toward desire, pleasure, and intensity.

Along the way, I’ve integrated practices and insights from tantra, breathwork, somatic approaches, contemporary psychology, and other traditions. QSM brings these influences together through a distinctly queer, pleasure-positive lens.
